The holder of the winning ticket will now have to decide to either take the 29-year, 30-installment annuity, or the one time cash “lump sum” amount of $88,067,283.

Five tickets correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $200,000. These tickets were sold in Indiana (1), Kentucky (1), Minnesota (1), Wisconsin (1), and West Virginia (1).

An additional 3 tickets that correctly matched the 5 white numbers also had the Power Play option that multiplied their winnings by 3 for a total of $600,000 each! Those lucky tickets were purchased in Arizona (1), Oklahoma (1), and Tennessee (1).

Besides the jackpot, there were a total of 967,096 winning tickets in America’s Game Saturday evening. Those tickets won prizes totaling an incredible $9,128,285!

The Mega Millions jackpot is on the move once again. Less than a week after a single ticket sold in Amarillo, Texas won an estimated $122 million jackpot, Mega Millions excitement is building. A total of 403,255 tickets from coast to coast were winners in the Friday, January 12, 2007 drawing, including four tickets that only missed the Mega Ball number. POWERBALL JACKPOT JUMPS TO $131 MILLION; $800,000POWER PLAY PRIZE WON!

1/6/2007 (Powerball) Powerball will jump to an estimated $131 million for Wednesday’s draw as the grand prize was not hit Saturday evening. Even though the jackpot was not hit, one lucky ticket from Iowa won $800,000 cash with the Power Play option! Three other lucky tickets sold in Connecticut (1), Missouri (1), and North Carolina (1) won $200,000 each for matching all 5 white ball numbers.

The jackpot for the Wednesday, January 10th drawing will be $131 million with the cash option at $63.5 million.

The numbers drawn Saturday evening were 1, 24, 40, 49, 50, and the Powerball was 38. The Power Play multiplier was 4.

Thirty-seven tickets matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. Nine additional players of that prize level wisely purchased the Power Play and had their prize multiplied by 4 for a $40,000 cash win! A total of 668,962 players across the nation won more than $6.5 million in prizes playing America’s favorite game.

More than 105,000 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 4 Saturday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for $1. With Power Play you multiply your Powerball winnings from 2-5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night’s multiplier.

Players should carefully check their tickets after every draw. Even if there are no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of winners at other prize levels.

Players purchased more than $31 million in tickets between Thursday and Saturday night.
