Mayor claims victory with $250,000 lottery win.
The mayor of a suburban Atlanta city cast his vote and won the Georgia Lottery race for a $250,000 prize.
Lawrenceville Mayor Rex Millsaps matched 5 of the 6 winning numbers in the May 30 Mega Millions lottery and won.
"I think it's wonderful," he said. "I've got a wedding to plan."
Mayor Millsaps purchased his Georgia lotto ticket at Safa Express, 725 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville,Georgia.
"I'm going to get a new set of tires for my truck and get it detailed really well," he exclaimed.
