Tennessee School Teacher Wins Powerball.
>Every day, Tennessee’s students win with the dollars generated by the Tennessee Lottery,
and as a result of the July 16 Powerball drawing, so did a lucky Tennessee educator.
First grade teacher and Memphis resident Rosie Martin won $200,000 –
Powerball’s second-tier prize level.

I looked at the numbers in the paper and read them over and over,” said Rosie.
Then, to be sure, I took the ticket to the store and the clerk told me that I hit a big one”
And indeed she did! Rosie’s Powerball ticket, purchased at Elvis Presley Amoco,
matched all five white balls for the $200,000 prize. Rosie claimed her winnings at
the Nashville Lottery headquarters with her husband John and daughter-in-law Arby,
and while there, contemplated her immediate plans. “I love my babies,
Rosie said of her first grade students at Fox Meadow Elementary School.
So this money is going into savings because retirement is just going to have to wait a few years.”
