07/05/08 DES MOINES, Iowa: - A central Iowa man has claimed his $100,000 from the Iowa Lottery's first cash raffle game.
The ticket was sold by Kum / Go, 303 W. Broadway St. in Polk City.The winning Iowa Lottery ticket number was 10042818.
Warner, who works as an electrician for the U.S. Department of Agriculture , was calm but happy when he claimed his prize.
He said he didn’t claim the prize right away because he left for a fishing trip with his sons in Wisconsin.
I couldn't believe the number of zeros. Warner said about finding out he was a big winner.
I had to look two or three times. When I realized that it started with a ‘1’ I knew it wasn't one of the other prizes,
so it had to be a good one.

The 39-year-old mother-of-two had visited her mom at work and stopped to buy her
ticket on her way home. Friday night’s drawing came and went and the Lottery ticket she had purchased remained in her car.
It wasn’t until 3 days later that Janice checked her lottery ticket.
This Maryland Mega Millions winning lotto winning was sold by the Shore Stop located at 407 N Bridge St in Elkton,Maryland.
