Powerball lotto results and winning lotto numbers

08/27/2006 POWERBALL JACKPOT MOVES TO $75 MILLION; TWO-$1 MILLION POWER PLAY PRIZES WON!

(Powerball) The Powerball jackpot continues to move! Even though the grand prize was not awarded Saturday, two lucky tickets in Connecticut and North Carolina won $1 million each with Power Play. A total of 512,901 players across the nation won more than $7.5 million in prizes in America’s Game.

Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $75 million. The cash option for the Wednesday, August 30th drawing will be an estimated $34.9 million.

The numbers drawn Saturday evening were 24, 26, 38, 42, 46 and the Powerball was 16. The Power Play multiplier was 5.

Three tickets correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $200,000. These winning tickets were purchased in Colorado (1), Louisiana (1), and Pennsylvania (1). The two lucky tickets in Connecticut (1) and North Carolina (1), not only matched the 5 white numbers, but also purchased the Power Play option multiplying the $200,000 prize by 4 for a total win of $1 million!

Thirty-two tickets matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000 each. Ten additional winners of that prize category also purchased the Power Play option, giving them a total win of $50,000 each.

More than 101,000 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 5 Saturday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for one dollar. With Power Play you multiply your Powerball winnings 2-5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night’s multiplier.

Players should carefully check their tickets after every draw. Even if there are no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of winners at other prize levels.

Players purchased more than $23.3 million worth of tickets between Thursday and Saturday night. The lotteries sold $2.8 billion in Powerball tickets in FY06. That translates into more than $800 million for worthwhile state projects.

Powerball is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Winning $208 million lottery ticket sold in FdL, Wisconsin

Winning $208 million lottery ticket sold in FdL

By Peggy Breister
The Reporter
pbreister@fdlreporter.com

The Miracle Mile is back. And in a big way.

A $208 million Powerball ticket sold at Ma & Pa’s
Grocery Express, 506 S. Main St., is the single
winner in Saturday’s drawing, according to the
Wisconsin State Lottery.

It is the largest jackpot ever won in Wisconsin.

Winner numbers drawn Saturday are 2, 3, 9, 48
and 50, and the Powerball is 23.

The last Powerball jackpot in Wisconsin was won
Jan. 8, 2005, by a Thiensville man. The previous
largest jackpot in Wisconsin was the $195 million
Powerball jackpot won by an Illinois couple on
May 20, 1998.

It is the first time in a few years someone has
hit it big on what has become known as
Fond du Lac’s Miracle Mile. In the 1990s,
several people won multi-million dollar jackpots
with tickets purchased at lottery outlets on South
Main Street. Several of those businesses have since closed.

The last multi-million dollar winner at Ma & Pa’s
was in 1994 when a Mercury Marine employee hit
the Megabucks jackpot of $6.5 million. Since
then the store has sold tickets with winnings of $500,000, a couple $250,000, a couple $100,000, and Phil
and a co-worker split a $138,000 jackpot.

Ma & Pa’s co-owner Phil Moses and his sister, Gena Singleton, got a call from their newspaper delivery person
that someone from Channel 4 television in Milwaukee
was at the store shortly before 5 a.m. today.

I thought, oh no, someone broke in or something,
Moses said this morning.

Lotto Sport Italia was established in 1973 by the Caberlotto family in Montebelluna, northern Italy, the world centre of footwear manufacturing.

During its first decade, corporate strategy concentrated on making tennis footwear and clothing, and early on sponsored big names from the professional tennis circuit (Martina Navratilova, Boris Becker, Thomas Muster, Andrea Gaudenzi) - a strategy that brought the early victories at Wimbledon, the US Open and Roland Garros. In the 80s Lotto moved on to broaden its business base by competing among the then small group of manufacturers of football boots and clothing.

The first models of studded boots were thus created and the first sponsorship agreements signed with important players (including Dino Zoff, Ruud Gullit, Zvonimir Boban, Clarence Seedorf, Cafu, Andriy Shevchenko) and clubs (such as Milan, the Netherlands national squad, Napoli, Juventus, ChievoVerona, and Real Zaragoza).

Lotto's products are famous worldwide for their quality, style and technology content - these being the key characteristics that have brought them renown in the worlds of professional and amateur sport alike.

Winning characteristics which feature in all of Lotto's products, and which have led the company to become a world-leading manufacturer of boots, footwear and clothing for football, five-a-side football and tennis.

Starting from the late 80s Lotto also created a "leisurewear" collection of men's, women's and children's footwear and clothing that delivered just what even the most demanding consumers wanted in terms of leisure-time style.

Powerball Jackpot Leaps to $135 Million; Power Play Prize Worth $800,000 Won!

POWERBALL JACKPOT GOES TO $116 MILLION for Sat.

POWERBALL JACKPOT GOES TO $116 MILLION; POWER PLAY PRIZE WORTH $800,000 WON!
    7/20/2006
(Powerball) Even though the grand prize was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball paid off BIG in multiple ways. One lucky ticket won $800,000 with the Power Play option in Indiana! In addition, six other lucky tickets won $200,000 for matching 5 white ball numbers in the states of Iowa Powerball (1), Louisiana (1), Maine (1), Minnesota Powerball (1), Montana (1), and New Mexico Powerball (1).

The jackpot for the Saturday, July 22nd drawing will be $116 million with the cash option at $52.9 million.

The numbers drawn Wednesday evening were 2, 32, 38, 44, 50, and the Powerball was 21. The Power Play multiplier was 4.

Forty-three tickets matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. Ten additional players of that prize level wisely purchased the Power Play and had their prize multiplied by 4 for a $40,000 cash win! A total of 617,961 players across the nation won more than $7.1 million in prizes playing America’s favorite game.

More than 105,000 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 4 Wednesday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for $1. With Power Play you multiply your Powerball winnings from 2-5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night’s multiplier.

Players should carefully check their tickets after every draw. Even if there are no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of winners at other prize levels.

Players purchased more than $26.4 million in tickets between Sunday and Wednesday night.

The lotteries sold $2.8 billion in Powerball tickets in fiscal year 2006. That translates into over $800 million for worthwhile state projects.

Powerball is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
