01/08/08 New Year Brings Sizzling Hot Lotto Feature
Starting January 3, players can triple their Hot Lotto non-jackpot prizes
by adding the Triple Sizzler option for an extra dollar per play. If a
player selects the Triple Sizzler option and wins $10,000, the prize is
automatically multiplied by three times for a total of $30,000 ($10,000 x 3).
The Triple Sizzler Feature is similar to the Power Play option already offered on the Powerball game,” said lottery director Chuck Keller. “However, with Hot Lotto the multiplier is a constant three.”
The Triple Sizzler Feature will be available as a permanent feature to the Hot Lotto game. With Hot Lotto, jackpots start at $1 million and continue to grow until a player wins. It is the game with the best odds for winning a million. Each play costs $1. If a player adds the Triple Sizzler option, each play will cost $2. Drawings are held twice each week on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Overall odds of winning any prize remain the same
