Westhampton Beach,New York Grandmother hits for $3 million


Westhampton Beach Grandmother Wins $3,000,000 Royal Riches Top Prize
Schenectady, NY Elise Mitchell of Westhampton Beach, Suffolk County, recently received the first payment of the $3,000,000 top prize she won playing the New York Lottery’s Royal Riches instant game.


The self-described home body purchased her winning New York lotto ticket on March 12, 2008 at the 7-Eleven on Sunset Ave. in Westhampton Beach. She claimed it the following day at the Lottery’s Long Island Customer Service Center.
The $3,000,000 top New York lotto prize on the Royal Riches instant game pays out as $150,000 a year for 20 years, less required tax withholdings. After taxes, Mitchell will receive $102,225 per year.
Mitchell said she planned to use her new-found wealth to buy a house and take care of family.
