Woburn, Massachusetts: Nurse wins 50th Massachusetts $1 million jackpot
March 28, 2008 Nancy A. Rodman of Woburn is the 50th player to win $1 million in the Billion Dollar Blockbuster game from the Massachusetts State Lottery. In just six months on the market, not only have 50 Blockbuster players won $1 million, but also five players have won $10 million.
Rodman, a nurse, received her first of 20 annuity checks for $50,000 before taxes today at Massachusetts Lottery headquarters in Braintree. She is pictured here with Executive Director Mark Cavanagh.
She bought the Massachusetts lotto lucky ticket at Town Pantry on Main Street in Woburn. The store will receive a $10,000
commission on the sale.
