Cincinnati liquor store sold that $196 million Mega Millions lotto ticket


Mega Millions winner bought ticket in Ohio

Suburban Cincinnati liquor store, Main Street Wine & Spirits in Amelia, in southwestern Ohio.


A Mega Millions ticket worth $196 million was purchased by a lucky lottery player who stopped in a Lottery spokeswoman Marie Kilbane said, the ticket for the Friday night drawing was bought from Main Street Wine & Spirits in Amelia, a village of about 3,500 in southwestern Ohio.

Lottery officials in Georgia said just one ticket won the jackpot. Seventeen other players who matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball number will get $250,000 each.

Store owners Mike and Barby Goldstein received a $100,000 check from lottery officials Saturday, but the winning ticket holder had not yet come forward.
