Atlanta police officer wins a $315,927 Georgia Fantasy 5 lottery for the 10/17/08 lottery. Our Convenience Store at 2176 County Line Road S.W. in Atlanta sold this winning lotto ticket.
He visited the Georgia Lottery's Web site for drawing results and confirmed his winner. "I had always hoped to win," the father of six said. "I'm satisfied."
With his lottery win, Bennett plans to pay off bills and anticipates retiring early next year. He has been with the Atlanta police department for 35 years.
