Florida Powerball sales set a new sales record
01/09/09 Sales for the 1st FLORIDA POWERBALL go over $7 MILLION, setting a new sales record.
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery today announced that POWERBALL ticket sales for the first drawing totaled $7,730,306. "Floridians have embraced POWERBALL. This will go a long way toward helping us further our mission of maximizing sales for education and in keeping the promise we made to Floridians over 22 years ago," said Florida Lottery Secretary Leo DiBenigno.
