Kalispell, Montana residents claimed a Powerball lotto prize worth $50k

Powerball with Power Play Winner Claims Prize

Jeremy and Garnet Jeffries claimed a Powerball with Power Play prize worth $50,000. They started buying Powerball tickets a few months ago and they were quite surprised at the win. Jeremy was watching the news and wrote down the numbers that were drawn that night. When he first checked the numbers, he thought that he won $500. “I thought that was an alright prize until I checked the website.” When Jeremy checked the Montana Lottery website, he found out he wrote down one number wrong, and his prize was actually $10,000 multiplied by the Power Play of 5, making his win $50,000.

Jeremy and Garnet are Kalispell residents. Jeremy works at North Valley Steel and Fabrication and Garnet is a manicurist at The Edge Salon in Kalispell. Garnet said she will be painting ‘lucky’ nails now that she is a Lottery winner.

The Jeffries bought an ATV with the winnings and plan to invest the rest for later. They bought their lucky ticket at Super 1 Foods in Kalispell, also for the January 16 drawing.
