Lowell,MA. Big Lotto Jackpot for Lowell lottery player
March 13, 2008 Samuel A. Gbotee of Lowell became the latest Lottery millionaire when he hit for $1 million playing the $5,000,000 Jackpot game from the Massachusetts State Lottery.
Gbotee, pictured here with Executive Director Mark Cavanagh, received his first of 20 annuity checks today for $50,000 before taxes at Massachusetts Lotteryheadquarters in Braintree.
He bought the lucky Massachusetts lotto ticket at Pace Gas on Lakeview Avenue in Lowell. The service station will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale.
The $5,000,000 Jackpot instant game features 40 instant prizes of $1 million and 10 instant prizes of $5 million. Overall, there are more than 22 million winning tickets in the game.
