New York Lottery Launches Virtual Search

New York Lottery Launches Virtual Search For Draw Team Talent

03/05/08 Lottery Uses Cyber Search To Attract Statewide Pool of Available Candidates

Schenectady, NY - The New York Lottery today announced the launch of a virtual talent search to find a few new faces to join the Lottery’s popular drawn team. The cyber search is intended to help the Lottery attract a statewide pool of available talent. The successful candidate(s) will join the Lottery’s existing draw team consisting of Yolanda Vega, Marissa Rodriguez, and Sarah Pingel.
The Lottery prides itself on using cutting edge research and technology to ensure our products are always fun and entertaining for our players,” said New York Lottery Director Gordon Medenica. “We’re applying that same principle to find the next fun, entertaining personalities to join our Lottery draw team.”

The Lottery Drawings Personality is a unique role that brings excitement and energy to the Lottery’s daily televised drawings and to scores of personal appearances made on behalf of the Lottery year-round. Lottery Veteran Yolanda Vega said the job can be very challenging.

The job requires a great deal of dedication and a real willingness to be flexible with your time,” said Vega. “The NY Lottery drawingstake place 364 days a year. There are midday drawings and still others like Lotto that take place after 11 p.m. When you’re not in the studio in Schenectady you might be hosting a special event in Buffalo or Long Island – the job takes you where you’re needed. That’s what makes it exciting…for the right person.”
