03/04/08 A GE worker from Saugus is heading for a comfortable retirement after winning $2.5 million instantly in the $800,000,000 Spectacular Game from the Massachusetts State Lottery.
Linda J. Landry received her first of 20 annuity checks for $125,000 before taxes today at Lottery headquarters in Braintree. She said she will use the money to retire after years working at General Electric.
She bought the lucky ticket at Stop `N Go on Summer Street in Lynn. The store will receive a $25,000 commission on the sale
Landry is the 12th player to win $2.5 million instantly playing the $800,000,000 Spectacular.
