DES MOINES, Iowa : A Marion County woman recently claimed a large lottery prize.
Helen Parks Wins in Feb. 6 Powerball Drawing
Helen Parks of Melcher won $10,000 in the Feb. 6 Powerball drawing. She purchased the winning ticket at Knoxville 66, 306 W. Pleasant St. in Knoxville.
Parks claimed her prize at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Des Moines.
The winning Powerball numbers for the Feb. 6 drawing were: 3-5-12-42-43. The Powerball was 5. The Power Play® multiplier was 5.
If Parks had chosen to play the Power Play option, she would have won $50,000!
Players can increase their prizes with the Power Play (except the jackpot) up to five times. The cost is $1 per play.
Just before the Powerball numbers are drawn, the Power Play wheel is spun. Slots on the wheel list the numbers 2 through 5, indicating the amount prizes (except the jackpot) will be multiplied if that number is drawn.
