02/13/08 LOTTERY ALERT: NORTH DAKOTA LOTTERY LOOKING FOR $400,000 WINNING TICKET

NORTH DAKOTA LOTTERY LOOKING FOR $400,000 WINNING TICKET
Lady Luck found a lucky player who has the top winning ticket in the country from the
Powerball drawing on Saturday, January 26. The winning ticket, worth $400,000, was
sold at Main Tesoro located at 1833 E. Main Avenue in Bismarck.
The winning ticket matched all five white balls, but not the Powerball. Because the
player purchased the Power Play option for an extra dollar, the $200,000 prize was
multiplied by two, making it worth $400,000.

Lottery Director Chuck Keller says, Someone is walking around with a ticket worth
almost a half million dollars and they may not even know it. Since an average of $7,554
of lottery prizes goes unclaimed and expires each week, the Lottery wants to get the
word out to make sure the winning player does not overlook this ticket.
Jerry Schmidt, manager at Main Tesoro, reported that as of Monday morning, no one
has brought the winning ticket into the store. The winning numbers for the January 26
drawing were: 11, 35, 39, 53, 54 and the Powerball number was 24.
