02/13/08 Swampscott, MA., player scores $1 million lotto prize
William G. Moran of Swampscott won $1 million in an instant playing Billion Dollar Blockbuster game from the Massachusetts State Lottery. Moran received his first annuity check for $50,000 before taxes today at Lottery headquarters in Braintree.
He bought the lucky ticket at the 7-Eleven on North Shore Road in Revere. The store will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale.
Billion Dollar Blockbuster is the biggest game in American lottery history with more than $1 billion in prizes. The game features 10 instant prizes of $10 million and 130 prizes of $1 million.
