One Mega millions winner in Texas for $94 million


MEGA MILLIONS TICKET WINS ESTIMATED $94 MILLION JACKPOT; Winning Ticket Sold In El Paso, Texas
One ticket matched all six Mega Millions numbers in the Tuesday, May 16, 2006 drawing, and now players are checking their tickets to see who won the estimated $94 million jackpot. The jackpot-winning ticket, which was purchased in El Paso, Texas, matched the numbers 7-24-40-48-50 and the Mega Ball number 15.

But the holder of that winning ticket is not the only Mega Millions winner in Tuesday’s drawing. Nearly 650,000 tickets won prizes ranging from $2 all the way up to the jackpot. That includes 10 tickets that each won $250,000. Those tickets were sold in California (3), Georgia (2), New Jersey (1), New York (1), Ohio (2) and Virginia (1).

The jackpot for the Friday, May 19, 2006 Mega Millions drawing is $12 million.
