9/13/2007 FLURRY OF CASH25 TOP PRIZES CLAIMED
Three players claimed Cash25 prizes totaling $75,000 today, according to West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave.
Randy Parsons of Parkersburg and Jean Farley of Morgantown claimed the last of five top $25,000 prizes won in the Sept. 4 drawing.
Parsons’ prize was split among 14 co-workers at South Hills Golf Course in Parkersburg, which is where the ticket was purchased. Farley’s ticket was purchased at Dairy Mart Foods in Morgantown.
In addition, Musgrave said Ruth Vanslyke of Shinnston claimed a $25,000 prize from the Cash25 drawing held Sept. 7. She bought her ticket from Cool’s Market.
Musgrave said this has been an unusual summer for Cash25 players. On June 12, we reported a record number of Cash25 wins, 14 in 11 days including 10 from one drawing.”
Marvin Barker of Charleston set a record for an individual winning the most $25,000 cash prizes. Barker bought 10 winning tickets from Danny’s Park Systems in Kanawha City for the June 8 drawing.
