$200,000 Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Moscow, Idaho (10/15/2007)
Monday, October 15, 2007
Boise Idaho: Someone in Moscow may be holding a $200,000 winning Powerball ticket and not even know it. The Idaho Lottery confirmed that a winning ticket worth $200,000 was sold in Moscow, in Latah County for last Saturday night’s $15 million draw. The winning ticket matched all five numbers but not the Powerball. The winning numbers were 21, 30, 34, 36, 49 and the Powerball was 42.
No one has contacted the Idaho Lottery to claim ownership of the winning ticket.
We are encouraging all of our players who may have been in the Moscow area recently to check their tickets carefully,” announced Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. “Too often if a player realizes they have not matched the Powerball they do not check their other numbers. In this case, the winner did match every number but not the Powerball.
The Idaho Lottery has not released the store location that sold the winning ticket. Approximately 60% of the Lottery retail locations in Moscow are gas stations, meaning someone who visited the area might also be the winner. The University of Idaho hosted a homecoming game against Fresno State on Saturday afternoon in Moscow with more than 14,000 people in attendance, many of them traveling to and from the game.
Anderson also encouraged every player to sign their winning tickets before presenting them for payment. “Whether it is a one dollar winner or a $200,000 winner, we want to ensure players secure ownership of their tickets,” he added.
This is the Idaho Lottery’s fifth $200,000 or higher winning Powerball ticket since January 1.
