Crown Point,Indiana Man hits $1 million lotto
INDIANAPOLIS,IN., Scott Torreson of Crown Point never thought this would happen to him: winning a $1,000,000 Hoosier Millions playing Scratch-off game Hoosier Millions.
"I was screaming and dancing at home," said a cool and calm Torreson. "I didn't believe it when I first scratched it."
Torreson, 26, stopped with a co-worker for a cup of coffee this morning at Speedway #6621 at 153
US Highway 30 in Valparaiso when he decided to make a Lottery purchase. After scratching it off in the car, Torreson immediately had his co-worker drop him off at home and called his father Jeff.
"We're going on a trip to Indy," he said on the phone. "You need to leave work now!"
Torreson and his father drove to Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in
Indianapolis today to claim the prize.
"It's a one in a million chance," said Jeff Torreson. "I'm glad it's his lucky break."
Torreson won a $1,000,000 annuity, so he will receive cash-value payments for the next twenty years.
Torreson hopes one day to become a police officer. Right now though,
he was thinking of heading to Arby's.
