LaPlace,Louisiana: has a $200K Powerball
James Felder of LaPlace with his wife, Joan, after claiming $200,000 from the March 8 Powerball drawing.
They claimed a $200,000 prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's New Orleans office as a result of a
winning Louisiana Powerball ticket from the March 8 drawing.
"I'm going to continue playing" said Felder, age 59. "In fact, I bought more Powerball tickets
for Wednesday's drawing!" Felder also said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills, take a trip and invest.
Felder's ticket matched all five white balls drawn but not the red Powerball to win his prize.
He purchased his winning ticket at Big River Food and Fuel #7 on West Airline Highway in LaPlace.
The retailer will receive a one-time bonus of $2,000 for selling Felder the winning ticket.
The winning numbers for the March 8 Louisiana Powerball drawing were 17-29-31-34-49 and the Powerball number was 16.
Players must be at least 21 years old to purchase a Lottery ticket. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help.
