Connecticut System Lotto planned upgrade this Sunday
05/9/2008 Connecticut Lottery tickets can't be purchased, validated or cashed
on Sunday while the Connecticut Lottery implements a major upgrade to its software system.
The system will be down beginning at 10:59 p.m. Saturday immediately following
the Powerball drawing through 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Anne M. Noble, president and CEO of CT Lottery, said the upgrade will allow for implementing state-of-the-art gaming technology known as the "Wave," which will provide faster processing, easier reporting systems, age verification
checker and ability for consumers to check their own tickets via a "Ticket Checker"
validation system.
Connecticut Lottery game drawings will be held on Sunday as planned. Lotto results
for the weekend drawings will be posted to the lottery's web site,
and on the 860-713-2000.
