Minnesota Millionaire Raffle Game Returns
10/18/08 Game offers the best chance to win $1 million. For the third consecutive year, the Minnesota State Lottery is bringing back one of its most popular games–Minnesota Millionaire Raffle, which features limited tickets and two guaranteed $1 million prizes.
The excitement begins on Oct. 19 when the $10 Raffle tickets go on sale.
Minnesota Millionaire Raffle tickets are available through Dec. 31 or until they sell out– whichever comes first. With only 500,000 tickets available for purchase, these tickets are likely to sell out before the ball drops on New Year’s Eve, explained Lottery Executive Director Clint Harris.
Tickets sold out early the first two years and we expect to sell out again this year.”
In addition to the two $1 million prizes, the Raffle game offers four $100,000 prizes, four $25,000 prizes and one hundred $500 prizes. Similar to other raffles, each ticket will contain a six-digit number, numbered sequentially from 000001 to 500000, which players will need to match to one of the 110 six-digit winning numbers drawn on Jan. 1, 2009. The winning Raffle numbers will be revealed during special televised broadcasts on the Lottery’s drawing stations throughout the evening of Jan. 1, 2009:
Four $25,000 winning numbers will be announced at 7:59 p.m.
Four $100,000 winning numbers will be announced at 8:59 p.m.
Two $1 million winning numbers will be announced at 9:59 p.m.
The one hundred $500 winning numbers will be posted on the MN Lottery’s Website at approximately New Year’s Day.
All winning numbers will be posted on the Lottery’s Web site at 10:10 p.m. that evening.
