Record $340 Million Ticket Sold in Oregon!
The small town of Jacksonville (population 1,955) located in southwest Oregon lays claim to having sold the single winning ticket for the record breaking $340 million Powerball jackpot. The ticket was sold at one of only two Powerball retailers in the city: Ray's Food Place or the Jacksonville Tavern. No one has stepped forward yet to claim the prize, but when they do they will have to decide on the 29-year, 30-payment annuity, or the cash option worth $164,410,058. The winner will have 60 days after their ticket is validated to make that decision.
