02/10/08 Gilbert Case of Kent,CT. is two-time $100,000 Cash5 winner
When Gilbert Case of Kent arrived at CT Lottery headquarters in New Britain Monday morning, he was in good spirits; Case came to claim the Cash5
$100,000 top prize from the Sunday, February 3 drawing. The lottery staff noted
that Case looked familiar. That’s when Case confirmed that he had won $100,000
once before playing Cash5 in February 2006. I can’t believe I did it again,
Case told lottery officials.
I didn’t see the drawing last night, said Case. This morning, Case’s girlfriend
handed him the local newspaper where he quickly learned that the
Cash5 numbers he selected the day before matched the winning numbers drawn.
Last night was a great night, said Case, a big NY Giants fan, but winning Cash5 again was just icing on the cake.
The winning Cash5 numbers drawn on February 3, 2008 were 17 18 20 33 35.
There were a total of 3,746 winning tickets sold statewide whose values ranged from $2 to $100,000 each. The overall odds of winning the top prize in Cash5 are 1 in 324,632.
